I’m Aryan Choubey — an AI-first full-stack developer in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, working UK hours. Four years building websites, platforms and the automation behind them end to end, currently as Senior Developer at Web-Smart.co.
Before that: I Guru, C-Metric and DOAGuru. Live deadlines and inherited codebases, and the lesson underneath them — the site you hand over matters less than whether the people you hand it to can run it. Most of what I believe about building came from watching what broke afterwards.
WordPress is the deepest practice — plugins, full builds, WooCommerce end to end. Agentic AI is the newest: quiet systems that take the work that repeats and flag ambiguity instead of inventing answers. Grahaank, a Hindi-first validation tool for astrologers, runs in public as my own product, which keeps the judgement honest. The evidence is on this site rather than in this paragraph.
The thinking is public too — engineering decisions in the notes, practical guidance for the people who hire on the blog.
When I’m not shipping, I’m usually pulling a new AI tool apart to see how it works — then wiring it up to build the next thing for me.
[ How I work ]
Five rules, all practised here.
Straight answers before scope.
Tell me the problem and I’ll tell you whether it’s worth building — before anyone talks scope. A project that shouldn’t exist is cheapest to kill in the first call.
The platform falls out of who runs it.
The stack is a consequence of who edits the site next month — not a badge. Eight live builds, two platforms, one decision process.
If it repeats twice, automate it.
If a task repeats twice, it shouldn’t need doing a third time. That test finds the real work: every AI system I’ve shipped started as a job someone dreaded.
Zero legacy.
Superseded code, stale docs and dead files get deleted, not left lying around. A clean system is the cheapest insurance a codebase can carry.
No claim without proof.
Nothing here says “trust me”. Counts trace to pages, case studies link to live sites, and anything that can’t be backed one click away doesn’t ship.
